With more than a passing resemblance to New York’s ‘Flat Iron’ Building, the Oldknows Factory has most recently been a centre of creative enterprise since 1987. But even before that, originally a lace factory, it was established by James Oldknow, chairman of the Castle Museum art gallery, England’s first municipal Art Gallery.

It’s been Sunday’s home for a couple of years now, first in Block B, and now in our own space in E Block. As we help out with the upkeep of the website — www.oldknowsfactory.co.uk — we like to keep up to date with the other tenants. Today we went for a little explore, met some of our neighbours, old and new, and checked out some of the spare studios up for rent.

There’s some gorgeous spaces waiting to be filled — you can find out more about the history of the building and the rooms available at the website: studios to rent in Nottingham.
